The orchestra I Virtuosi dell’opera di Roma, composed by musicians from Italy’s most prestigious conservatories, specializes in performing the operatic repertoire, with particular emphasis on the Italian tradition. This year, the orchestra presents a prestigious musical season dedicated to Opera and classical music masterpieces.

Every week an ensemble of the Orchestra featuring soloists on violin, cello, piano, flute, clarinet and French horn will play toghether with some of the most renowned Soprano, Tenor, and Baritone singers in the evocative setting of the Church of St. Paul Within the Walls, performing Giuseppe Verdi’s celebrated opera “La Traviata”. Presented in three acts with chorus, costumes, and stage sets, the performance offers an authentic and immersive Opera experience.

The programme also features the renowned and emotionally captivating concert “Opera Concerto – The most famous lyrical arias”, an unforgettable journey through great music and bel canto, featuring some of the most famous arias, the most engaging overtures, and the best-known duets from the Lyrical repertoire.

The programme is completed at the Basilica of San Nicola in Carcere with the orchestral ensemble consisting of a string quintet and harpsichord and performing Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” alongside other sacred works.
